6. Wash clothes in cold water when possible and hang your laundry out to dry on a clothes rack or clothes line when the weather permits. You will be saving energy and preserving your clothing at the same time.

7. Take public transport and or bicycle to work. You will improve your health and reduce gas emissions. If this isn't possible, consider car pooling. Better yet, find out if you can tele-commute, even if it is a few days a week.

8. Replace your incandescent light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs and watch your energy bill plummet.

10. Consider a flow flush toilet and install a low-flush shower head to save money and water resources.
